Request a New I-20: Other

As an F-1 student, you must regularly report any changes that may affect your Form I-20 to your designated school official (DSO) also known as your International Student Advisor. This will ensure that all your information is correct on your SEVIS record and you are able to continue maintaining your legal status in the U.S:

Examples of updates on I:20

Part-Time Border Commuter: Require a new I-20 every semester
Academic: Change in major
Biographical: Change in name
Dependents: Addition of F2 dependent
Financial: Remove Border Commuter Status
Financial: Significant change to financial support such as an addition or loss of a GRA or GTA
